Finally got around to doing something with this car again.

Had what can be compared to a MOT on it, and failed on these point:

    - Emissions (Bad lambda, ordered a new sensor as the old one was black and sooty)

    - Wheels (Not specified in papers and they rubbed the arches on full turn)

    - Lights (Can't adjust the right side)

    - One rusted brake line (no leaks though)

Got some more to do then. I got creds from the tester on the work I've done with the suspension and engine transplant.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

Aaand it's on the road and running

In my second post here I wrote "-Let this old girl have some glory in her old days. They just didn't treat her right".
      Now she turns heads

Pretty happy with the way it looks.
Only trouble now is top mounts I think. Can hear a rattle from the left one.

Old pics up, and for you lazy bunch:

Old 20v, bling rims and wooden steering wheel.

And all thats done to it (as I can remember:
Resprayed in LOA9, also changing one rear quarter panel.
            3b conversion, currently on K24/Homefries.
Complete refurbed suspension with HR coilovers.
            Whiteline RARB.
034 Solid Engine, gearbox and diff mounts.
Aluminium rear subframe mounts, powerflex front.
            CAC S steering wheel.
All interior parts painted piano black (budget way of getting rid of the boat look)
500W fan and custom aluminium radiator.
Replaced both door seals and tailgate seal.
            Replaced old carpet and insulation.
Moved battery to behind rear seat.
            "MarkH mod".
034 3" exhaust from turbo with sports cat and one silencer.
Wideband and boost gauges fitted in air vents.

That's about it for now. I have a K26 #6, 440cc greens, a wagner manifold and an ECU just waiting for me to get some time off and motivation.
Still can't use the car much as I'm trying to sort the heater fan.

The car has been acting up lately. Had some corrosion in the connector for the radiator temp sensor, and a small wet spot around the X-bolt on the servo pump.

I also have a weird problem that I can't pinpoint. If I'm driving slowly down a paved road (1st and 2nd gear) I feel a weird rocking or vibration. It feels like sort of like when you've had your car in the garage for too long and the wheels have a flat spot.
              It is driving me crazy!
Guess it could be the inner joints on the rear driveshafts or perhaps the propshaft.

Think the wobbly feeling have boiled down to one of the rear inner CV-joints.

Took a few pictures the other day, when I took it out for a spin.

Before she went into a spa treatment, that will not only improve her looks, but also improve health and strenght.

I also got a package from the US and one from germany this week.

                    To do:
                    Mount Wagner Rs2 manifold
KKK 26/27 #6 on, with 440cc injectors and 7A FPR
Change radiator temp sensor, as it's acting up
Change multitemp sensor, because it was £3 on sale..
                    Replace inner cv-joints if necessary.
Replace G62, as the climate control unit gives a fault code on it.
                    Propshaft overhaul with scorpio joints.
                    Have some fun.

I also need to gather some parts for the coil-conversion. Not sure wether to go for full AAN-wiring loom or a pin swap.

Edit: Photos taken with a toaster. I NEED a camera ASAP.

Rs2 EVO manifold and turbo mounted.

The wagner manifold didn't fit well with the 034 Exhaust. It's 5mm off at the flexi pipe.

The exhaust is all to blame, along with a few mm here and there. To be honest, I could barely use the 034 downpipe with the original manifold and K24.

So, downpipe off to get adjusted.
I took out the G62, it was dirty, I'm only guessing thats what makes it give funny signals. Changed it for a new, and kept the old as a spare.
Also discovered that a breather hose had collapsed right after the engine block, but luckily I had a silicone replacement hose in my stash.

A few pictures of the progress so far:

New breather hoses, the old ones had gunk everywhere.

Rough outline of where the wastegate flexi hit the dp first time around.

Changes made to it: I cut it off (obviously from the picture above, and welded in a half-moon shaped piece of pipe. Turned out like this:

                        Fitted:

440cc injectors and fuel rail fitted:

                        Exhaust side just about done.

Changed the MFTS also, that leaves it down to radiator temp sensor. Thinking about making a new wiring loom for that, as it is somehow connected to the non-existing AC now. This gives weird sympthoms, like the fan running when AC unit is off, and that the fan starts on ignition on.

I only really have three things left:
-Sorting a new oil return line for the turbo. This one has the same flange both ends, same as the one that goes into the block.

                        - Making a new fuel line from FPR-Fuel rail, as the old one didn't fit well with the 7A FPR.

-Finding out what MAF-Trubo hose solution to go for, as mine doen't fit anymore. The hose and turbo inlet have the same outer diameter.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

                            Got some more done today.

The fuel line from the FPR to the fuel rail didn't fit very well with the 7A FPR.
Tried to keep it OEM-ish looking.

Bought some parts to bodge up the MAF-hose to the turbo.

                            Finished result:

When I left today, I was pretty happy. Start-up tommorrow is possible
I changed most of the vacuum hoses aswell, with some good help from a friend.

                              Great project.

I like the little hose you made up for the 7A FPR, having just fitted to my 3B I can understand why you made it. I modified the bracket instead but a replacement hose is for more elegant .

I think I need to sort my carbon canister connections aswell, as of now it's venting to athmosphere.. There's three connections on it, with one obviously coming from the tank.
I'm pretty sure the other goes to the N80, but what about the third?
