Overboost

Hi T.

I think he means that if U run high boost the pressure on the turbo (inside the manifold) will be so high that the wastegate can´t bleed off enough due to the awkward travel of the exhaustgasses. Better flow to the wastegate mayby ? A friend of mine had same problem so it overboosted in high gears. He made the flowpath better and that sorted the problem.
On my car I mounted it as U did and I haven´t got any problems. Been running as high as 1.8 bar with this and it worked well.

the thing is that the exoust gas flow would be easyer trught the turbo than turing and going thrught wasegate but mabye it will be just ok. hope so

All the cylinders produce a combined pressure that drives the turbo. This pressure is usually higher than boost pressure so we are talking over 1.6-2-0 bar inside the manifold. Most of it will find it´s way out off the wastegate, but if the flow is too high for the WG to handle it goes through the turbo. The flowpath is easier through the WG.
So remember to shape corners so they are better flowing. Smoothen out edges and so on. It took me a week to do mine....

turbo is very big,the current place is barely enough for it.

i believe i made a construction mistake while making exhaust manifold,it is almost impossible to fit all hoses etc,i am working real hardçç

turbo is very very close to frontheadlight

i couldnt manage to install air filter and maf body today;
i removed clima to install filter there but its too low,tomorrow i will try to take the air filter behind the engine
hoses are to fat and space is too tihgt, this makes me sick....

i found this part, will fabricate similar one tomorrow to install in front of turbo to make a tight turn,other wise i cant fit the headlight
what do you think does it look ok? or restrictive?

here is another problem:
maf diameter is 10cm
air filter 10 cm
turbo 10 cm

if i want to carry filter to back of engine:
but i can carry max 75mm pipe from turbo to maf+filter
what do you think, it doesnt sound good to me but there is no space

or i can remove the clima and leave everything at the front ;
but air filter will be stay at lower ,i dont know if this makes any disadvantage?!

filter will stay behind intercooler on this plan

but if i can take it behind the engine i will cut the hood and will feed the filter with fresh air
