I think Timicin had a go at building the engine himself by the look of this mamoth post

and it blew itself to bits.....Erdal knows his stuff from what I have heard and this engine damage is 1000% from an incorrectly built engine Im afraid...nothing to do with bad tuning...

hell with those parts that engine should have been good to go BIG BHP for MANY HAPPY MILES

Sorry Timucin about this bad luck though mate

Truly if you want to tune your engine yourself, you need aftermarket ECU because tuners what know how to tune Motronic are only several in the world , but when we talk about fully programable ECUs, then Motronic is fully programable too....if you can program it

timucin, did you use ARP studs? If so, that may have been your problem.

The size of the bolt actually.

one of the bolt holes on the block threads directly above one of the oil check valves. If the check valves is crushed, there will be very significant oil loss in the bottom end and will result in failure.

I've seen this problem before on a members car on www.motorgeek.com . lucky , he said, that the check valve is located by the oil pressure sender and the gauge will pick up the loss in pressure immediately, if you are watching carefully.

Ah, your talkng about the main bearing stud kit, I dont think Timucin used these, only the head stud kit.

But I know what you mean though, I am using long main studs to fit a main bearing girdle and I had to shorten a stud by a mm or so to clear the valve.

Roger (Audi_CQ) had the same problem, and did the research the hard way

                                Cheers
