Yeah, he knows........he's just rousting me.

Thanks Dave. We discussed those earlier. The consensus was that they were too stiff, even the "softer" version.
In touch with the Tradition boys. Hopefully they have one.Comment

RS2/S2(ABY) Motor Mounts
So I asked the Tradition boys.........
I would like to purchase an RS2 motor mount, part number 8A0 199 382, but my dealer in Germany says it is obsolete. I see it in the Tradition store. Can you please tell me if this part is still actually available? If so, can my dealer order it from you or do I need to buy directly from Tradition store?
The response.........
yes, these mounts are new produced and in stock. Your dealer can order these parts for you. He has a link in dealer portal.
So these are a new, recently released run of mounts. So today I will give it a try. Touch wood and all that.Comment

OEM trim
Tom,
Am I reading this correctly.... Audi Tradition is actually able to make new parts again if there is enough demand for them?? There is a bunch of urS4 parts that there is a ton of demand for that are now NLA. Hoping we can petition them to make a run of these parts again.
This would be great news.
On another note... I saw this posted today, which may be of interest to you and others who have been following this thread.

Carbondesign is making these "RS2 lower door trims" that I guess have been previously NLA through Audi. They should be available in the next week or so. He will have both raw carbon and paintable versions available. My question is, can someone point out to me where these go on the vehicle?
Carbondesign has continued to be a great resource for some of these once obsolete parts and is also an S2forum sponsor!Comment

As promised.......
I pulled the cover off today and snapped a few pics in the sun of the complete new set of trims I fitted last weekend.

Speaking of pics......Pap, were you able to snap a couple of pics for me? I still need a good pic of the firewall with the carpeting pulled back.

Yes this it's going to be hilarious....
The Tradition Shop was meant to have a settled discount for the members of the officials Audi Clubs (Audi Club International etc).
One step back....
Daniel Bachmann from Audi Club International Switzerland was the guy that pushed Audi Tradition to start the Shop program and since the first discussions the discount for Audi Club Members was there to be implemented but as you can see there none so far.
The funny thing it's right what Tom discovered...
I believe a lot of us have agreed with their guys at the spare parts counter at the delaer a fairly good discount, I have for example the max discount they give to businesses (mechanics garage shops etc) this discount can go as little as 8% up to 30% depending on groups. (i.e. body parts are high discount and electronics are low)
Recently (a year or so) ETKA gives the chance to click a button that states "Tradition" this aloud the dealer guy to order the part trough Tradition Shop.
The result it's:
You can still have a discount on the part (high or low but still something off)
You don't pay for the shipping....
This puts the all Tradition Shop system on a very weird perspective does it?
Stefano
P.S.
Tom fantastic job as usual man!Comment

That is great information Stefano, I didn't know the dealer can order parts from Audi Tradition.... Next time I am in I will talk to him about it.
As you say if you have a friendly parts guy and occasionally buy him donuts you can get a healthy trade discount pretty easily

i was told by AT that they can be had through the dealers in the US also, which would be interesting. Interesting because the RS2 was never sold here and neither were its replacement parts. So, as of Friday I have my dealership in the US working on it. I have AT put my dealer in contact with each other. They have already reached out to their field rep for help. I may have found a conduit for some EU/ROW parts right in my backyard. I always thought it was silly my US dealer couldn't get ROW parts anyway. Fingers crossed ATM.Comment

Tom please enlighten me on the meaning of........

Rest Of World!
I just asked this question of a Dealership in the UK about sourcing parts through Audi Tradition and was told that they would be charged the delivery and so would have to pass it on to the customer, effectively meaning no advantage to the customer!
They also claimed the part on the AT site I was interested in was used and not new. So pretty confused now.Comment
