No, cos you're not connecting to the inlet manifold.

BTW Andy, the IC looks like it should go much closer to the crossmember.

If you're using this breather set up, do you need to use the one way valve or pressure regulating valve?

Headlights look great, as new... need new fogs now to match now!
Any pics of the headlight trim now its painted and fitted mate?
I put some pics in the other thread in the fabrication section.

Got a msg from the previous owner of the intercooler and he had to cut a hole in the bottom of the bumper to get it to fit

You forgot the driveshaft bolt story:

Headlights were £160, for that kind of money I expected better attention to detail. I took some 'beam shot' pictures with the old lights, so as soon as the new ones are aligned I'll do some more so you can see the difference.

Also just remembered that the Wagner intercooler has a bigger inlet diameter which means the Samco hoses are a REALLY tight fit

hmm, thats a nightmare Andy....great performance from it but asthetics less so. Those rechromed lights look good....how much did they cost you as they always yellow over time

How much was it to get the headlight rechromed?

Had a busy weekend working on the car, first of all I took it to Wabtech to get the wheel alignment sorted after a place in Sheffield f**ked it up. Will did a great job and the car is now not trying to kill me on every corner

Performance and classic car specialists, UK factory approved Algema FIT-ZEL car transporter agent, marine engineering and crane hire with a PM 45SP crane. Whaley Bridge, High Peak.

Also fitted the re-chromed headlights. Found they had made another error in plating the threads, not a big problem if you have an M4x0.7mm die nut ( which I do ) but if you don't it would be a show stopper.

Just got to get them aligned now. Next up was the intercooler swap. I managed to bag this Wagner Evo intercooler from Twenty Valve on here

Now I've got to dispute Wagners claims that it's a bolt on fit for the S2 bumper with no cutting required. My bumper had already been trimmed to clear the RS2 intercooler and I'm sure the new one would not have fitted if this hadn't been done. The biggest problem is that it won't allow the bumper up high enough, resulting in a huge gap under the headlights that looks odd.

It may have been slightly higher, to be honest I was concentrating on looking at the road as I was going quite quick

Next time you're down here we'll have to do some runs with the performance box, then I can concentrate on the road and you can check the gauges!

11:1 is way too rich though, so egt should stay low! Ultra safe but it could make more power. Up to which rpm did you go?

By the way, looks like about 30% of meth will make the mixture slightly more rich, so either use less or make a dual map.

Not seen that video before, I'm keeping out of the way next time

Car was mapped with the meth on so it should be fine, in fact I did a flat out 6th gear run uphill on the way back from Brians and it was running at 11:1 with a 780°C EGT.
