Where did you get them from?

And I hope you can handle the bilsteins, going out in a car with them and hnr's fitted killed my back after only a short drive

Can anybody confirm if these look like the correct H&R's for a coupe?

They certainly don't look like these

The front seems to be sitting really low, the springs are almost coil bound just with the weight of the car on them. It's catching the wing on the RHS when turning and it seems to bottom out really easily at the front

    Very nice!

It is normal btw that the bearing isn't attached into the mount, they are 2 seperate things

hehe, good good. I guess you will need a bit more body control to reign in that power

It did have stock Sach/Boge dampers, but after the last remap they were starting to struggle. Now that the car is not my daily drive I can live with a little discomfort in the name of improved handling. I think!!

The POR15 looks like its held up pretty well there Andy - did you coat it in Chassis Black afterwards?
I have taken to jacking the car up and jet washing all the underside every few weeks in the winter. Its soul destroying to see all your hard work turning brown & crusty
I thought you went back to stock suspension previously? Were stock dampers not available or fancying it a bit stiffer?

The rear wheel bearings have been grumbling for a while now so last weekend I thought I'd strip it down and also fit my H&R springs whilst I was at it. This seemingly simple job has now turned into a week long epic, due to worn out componants and a huge amount of corrosion

First suprise I got was when I removed the rear struts, both Audi blue top mouns fell apart

The bearing had separated from the rubber and all the balls fell out when I took it off. Next was the dampers, one front and one rear meant a full set was required. So I got in touch with Yaz on here and he sorted me a full set of Bilstein B6 sport dampers.

This is what you get for using your car through the winter in England where they put tons of salt on the roads. These were blasted and powder coated

These were blasted and painted with POR15, which to be fair has stood up well. But because I painted up to the thread I think water has got under the edge.

Fresh coat of POR15 and assembled ready to fit

Top tip when you're stripping the suspension, buy one of these off Ebay

Search for 'digital angle gauge' they are about £20. Zero it on the strut before undoing the strut to hub bolts, then take a measurment off the hub

When you re-buld the legs, simply set the angle back to what it was, then your wheel alignment will be spot on

Front anti roll bar drop links had also failed, rubber had perished and fell apart when I took them off, now an MOT fail. So I made my own from some rose joints and steel bar.

    Should be road testing tomorrow

Looking at the Pro-M stuff it's not too expensive and they make Maf's with built-in filters. Could be an option if Dmitri will map cars with them on. The 3" in-line tube version looks like an easy option for the pressure side.

It will max out in a 70mm tube unfortunately on a 3076R.
So the diameter must be bigger, at least as big as the RS4 MAF.

    Pro-M is a solution though.

MAF can also be on the pressure side, especially with the 3071R...
I guess I am a bit too late to say that. Don't hit me.

It's a bit of a tight fit in the B3 and B4 chassis. A lot easier in the C4.
