Thanks for the ride in yours, good god that thing is fast! I've just done some calculations on bhp/ton

    Yours 486bhp/1200Kg = 405bhp/ton
    Mine 380bhp(?)/1450Kg = 262bhp/ton

That's a huge difference, I just need to work out how to get 250Kg out of the S2

Still had a great drive home up the Fosse Way ( B4455 ) , great road, perfect for the S2 to stretch it's legs

Thanks for sharing tips on the inside trim
Previous owner on my car had left the car to a company that changed stereo all speakers adding a lot of new wiring and put a subwoofer in the trunk......... Not a single piece of the interior mounted back properly and without damage

    Nice one.

Is using TIG for plastic trims not getting a bit extreme?

I used Bostik Matrix 500, anything like Sikaflex or Tiger seal should do the job. I deliberatley made the base plate over size as surface area is the key when using adhesives.

I'm wondering if something similar can be done with the bits of plastic trim that hold the plastic brackets, ie rear avant good trim and rear plastic trims. Mine has pretty much all of them broken.
