Yes the rear bumper is going on, it needs bonding to a bumper inner and then lining up on the car

Omg, I can't believe how fast time goes....
Well time for a little update on this car!
Some time ago the shell was painted and virtually at the point it could be built, however just before this point I had managed to source a genuine bonnet and genuine front bumper.
So it was decided I would trailer my car up to where I get the fibreglass panels made for them to take new moulds of the bumper, bonnet and also one from the roof of my car.
This dragged out for most of last year and when I gangly got the car back it was in a right state as it was covered in dust, resin, fibreglass etc etc.
Also in the process of removing the new mould from my roof they managed to cause a considerable amount of damage.
So it was shoved in the corner and forgotten about and generally day to day life meant that nothing got done on it......
However I have decided to have a little bit of a push on it to try and make it progress.
I have managed to save up and buy some more very rare very expensive parts for it so I can now progress further with the engine build and myself and Tom, particularly Tom has been beavering away at the bodywork to get it back right.
Here is a few pics now its back in its first rough coat of red....

Test fitting the rear lamps to make sure all the body lines are correct

Once it's all been hand flatted and we are sure we are rid of any imperfections it will be time to paint the final coat
Hopefully I will be able to update a little more when I get my teeth stuck in again

And Aug 2011
A little update tonight.
Purchased a few new shiny bits for the engine build, which consisted of gaskets, seals, bolts and a new oil pump.

Also Mike aka EuropeanMe managed to get one of his mates to bead blast my sump and a few other items which has come up real nice.
I gave the timing cover housing a quick sand blast before etch priming and then satin black

I gave the sump a fair few coats of clear lacquer to stop it oxidising and then managed to get most stuff bolted on.
Will be needing to get my head down to Tony soon for him to work his magic..

Audi Sport Quattro
This was July 2011
I got a chance to play with my dash tonight.
I have started to make the cut outs for the centre vent and the 2 vents at the side,
Also it's the first chance I have had to put all my goodies in one place to get an idea of what it will look like....
