No, i have been thinking about that, but i like to get my hands dirty, no fun otherwise.
2 coats of 2k poliuretanic base, 2 coats of 2k poliuretanic email. Takes 10 days to dry out, but i`m not in a hurry, my deadline is March 15 for fitting the 18" avus.

I agree. There is no joy in dropping off everything at a shop.

Speaking of blasting, I just ordered a bucket of plastic media yesterday that is supposed to be will not embed metal, so it will not change the surface, and can be used for internal engine components. All that with no dust. We will see.

what about dry ice blasting, it has the same caracteristics.

I've never tried dry ice, but it sounds interesting. What are the advantages? Is there special equipment needed?

Sorry for late reply.

No resids, the ice just evaporates, and doesent "hurt" the metal, so has no effect on the surface, just cleans it up.

Special equipment needed, must be very expensive too.
