      Top marks for ideas

How much was the key? and was it easy to do, i'm tempted as I like that.

Are you sure the center clocks are definately s2, because they are one complete unit the look more rs2 ish, thought most s2 was singles unless its because they are from a LHD.

Have you got some daytime pictures of the button for the door lock/alfa one.

I like the combo for the engine bay, was it just normal heat resistant paint?

Sorry for all the questions, just admiring your hard work

I got the key for free (i have some good friends with the right connections), but there are plenty on egay. What you need to do is to make a new key, and grind it up to the specs of the one you get with the key. It is plain easy, 10mins of work at most.

The clocks are 100% from an S2 (they are gray, not snow white). The design of the clocks changed in 94 somewhere, so 3B has the older ones, with 3 separate clocks, all aby-s should have the single piece ones (AFAIK).

The upper one is the alfa thing, transparent white window logo, the lower one is the audi one, plastic logo in green plastic. Both buttons are exactly the same (inside and outside), just the window logo is transparent + there is 3mm led in the alfa unit.

The paint is heat resistant mat paint (black till 600 degrees, red till 300 degrees).

        Glad you like it

Skull23: How about an S2 Speedometer unit? That would make it lovely, I have one you can have for 130 euro inlcuding shipping to your country. However it is without the board computer. It is in metric units btw.

Replaced it in my S2 with an RS2 unit.

          Nice looking car btw.

Not yet, the car has no remote, just ordinary central locking. It will be working. Some Spal remote locking can be put in, my friend did this years ago.

                        Thats pretty wicked.

Can you program them to work with any alarm/immobiliser system (i have a cobra immobilser) or would you need to transplant a chip into the switchblade remote?

He didnt reprogram the stock chipset, but he managed to get the aftermarket remote plate into the audi switchblade remote. The boot opener was not working, had only 2 buttons.

Big difference. I have the headlight washer pods at the paintshop, and S2 avant sideskirts being shipped from germany. That will complete the outside look of the car.
