Hids are illegal here. A lot of people has them, but they risk a 500€ fine.

This are plastic sideskirts from and S2 avant. Only s2 saloon, avant nad RS2 had this. The lower door trims are different too.

My compi didnt had them, i hope to fit them tomorrow (waiting for the fitting parts to arrive).

a few possible ideas / annoyances / dilemmas ! ?

1. 17 inch Avus wheels with 225/45/17 ?

2. Lowering springs - 30 or 40mm drop, but to definitely give the same drop both ends, whatever the drop.

3. VW 16 Valve KR engine inlet and exhaust cam?

4. Relays for each of the H1 bulbs in the main headlights, with a 15v regulator in the alternator?

5. Black alcantera headlining to deal with the standard light coloured headlining? Matching black sun visors?

6. Bigger clip-on mirror over standard interior rear view mirror?

7. Satin black powder coat the door opening latch on each door?

8. Add interior lights to each of the four handles set into grab handle in the roof, if not already in place?

9. Aero wipers.

10. RS2 Front anti roll bar, whatever uprated one fits a saloon, Neuspeed = Avant, Whiteline = Coupe, Saloon = ?

11. Eventually funds permitting, an RS2 leather?

12. Assumptions are shocks are RS2 or Konis, all bushes and ball joints perfect or replaced with factory items from say Febi, rear brake calipers upgraded to say fresh Mk 4 Golf ones, and whatever MK 4 or R32 ones can be bolted up to the front end at minimal cost. ( the standard 280mm front brakes are not bad for a standard 140bhp engine ).

13. If you want to keep the engine, eventually head work and throttle bodies with cold air ducting, exhaust manifold ( from who ?..... custom made ? ), larger bore stainless exhaust.

Not much more after all that ? ?

Some of them are inexpensive and / or just involve a bit of labour, and would be well worth doing.

But I'm afraid you are operating in a fantasy world if you think you're ever fininshed with working on or upgrading these B4's.

Continue to advise of any future alterations to the car as they are / will be very interesting to myself and I'm sure, plenty of others.
