well i had some issues with the pipes.

this is how the exausts masters did it back in germany:

the small one is the original piece.

    so what should i do?

found (in a shop, 10€ per m) the exact same pipe as the FOX zorst is made from:

and welded 60cm of pipe to the fox middle piece

    how it looks now:

i guess the next step is to make a de-cat pipe...

the sound is now much cleaner, and it has more bass.

i dont want to look like a boy racer, but hell, i can feel the difference. maybe it is more because the x-zorst is sealed better or whatever, i feel more torque, response, power.

well this longer modded cat is empty, i removed the insides some time ago. back then i could not feel any difference, i just got that can sound (i hate it). but again, i probably had many leaks and the old busted exaust.

i will make a decat pipe, the problem is finding the conus that fits to the exhaust manifold...

while i was changing the front hub housing (one was a little bent), i was collecting some parts: rear wheel bearing, rear hub bushes, forged front wishbones with new bushes.

after i have seen how the pressed steel wishbones tend to crack, i had no doubts. i had the right forged wishbone at home, the left came from ebay.de with a brand new joint.

            2 SKF bearings 80€, 4 genuine rs2 wishbone bushes 100€, 4 genuine rear hub bushes 50€

rear left corner completed yesterday evening

              Nice work as usal Rok

Are they the same 82mm bearings as the front hubs? Do you have a P/N

You can get a machine shop to make you a flange for the downpipe pretty easily if you take some measurements, then you can make up a decat pipe - but you might need a little resonator box to stop booming exhaust note at cruising speed

yes the rear bearing are the same bearing as the front ones (at least for avant/limo).

                see this thread: http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39535

The problem with the pipe is that there is no aftermarket exaust manifold for this engine, at least i cant find one.

this is the cat and the EM:

should i cut this flange from the stock cat?

Cutting the flange of my old cat was my plan, seems easy and cheap to me.

you will also need to sort out an 02 bung as it mounts in the cat.

Would also be nice when you make a de cat to make all the bolts easily accesible/dont interfere with the lambda sensor.

Also did you use forged arms in the back? If so are they front ones?

the bolts do not interfere with the lambda if they are of the correct length.

the forged arms are for the front, there are no forged lower arms for the back, only the (rs2) uppers (small ones).

You can get that flange made, it just has a radius seat for the sealing ring - but you could just chop it off
Looks identical to the 7A one so if you want to keep your cat pipe i'm sure you could find one in a junk yard

Yes, i just think it can be a bit akward sometimes, would be easier to get tools on with a bit more space that was all.

ok, was getting confused with b3/b4 rear ends and wondering about mounting fronts backwards or something like that, never mind just confusing myself, thanks anyway

Dont know, I was just intending to cut 2 flanges off and rotate them and re weld, maybe aspro (his manifold) thought it was easier to just cut all the flanges off and make new ones to weld on?
