    450hp "(NOT)enough power" project

i sold my strong s2, but my newone on the way.
i am planning user friendly 450hp.
    the plan:

    stock 2.2 20vt engine
    stock pistons
    h conrods
    ported head
    stock camshafts
    650 rc injectors
    044 pump
    wagner im
    sq em
    wr standalone ecu
    gt 2876r turbowith .63 ar hotside(flexibile)
    6 speed tranny
    cayenne brakes
    yellow konis
    hr springs

the design will be same like my old car.

i need the car only for street use, or trackdays. everyday car. i want to build a very safe setup. i want to use between 2000-7300rpm.

i want to spend only 12000euro for the car.

    here is some spy photo:

Very sensible... Why the GT28 rather than the GT30? Will the GT28 make 450bhp?

Ooops, missed the 76 bit at the end

How does the GT2876 compare to the 3071 apart from teh hotside flange?

i can order both with t3 flange. the 2876 has smaller turbine wheel and bigger compressor.

Very cool project, kind of like I want mine to be and its nearly there, just need a few more HP but loads of bottom end, I was thinking of swapping out my RS2 turbo for a 3071, but maybe a 2876 is a better idea? I used to love the way the K24 spun up at 2k

Just had a look on 034, should be sweet, not heard of many people using this turbo so will be interesting to see how it fares compared to the GT30 series. Something inbetween the k24 and RS2 has got to be the ultimate, fast spool and enough flow to keep the boost up top... the holy grail

That's a similar set up to mine, mine is also circa 450bhp.

The power delivery is very linear from 2k onwards. I used to have an RS4 (2.7) many moons ago.... and the power delivery of my I5 is very similar.

I have driven a 550bhp car and although quick its power delivery was not for me.

Best of luck with the project..

The 2876r? IIRC it used to be called GT2540R in old Garrett numbering and it's an oldskool turbo.

Only person I know who ran that turbo was Pekkas

Who got around 435 bhp http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showpos...5&postcount=70

But there are various comments that a 2871r was a better turbo

Do you really need to port the head in order to go for 450 HP?

That is a valid reason for me

I would like to know such a person in my country as well. That would save me a lot of money.

The Audis are best at around 450 , good streetablity and performance, I regret changing my car from the KKK 26/27 package it once had, it was very quick with that turbo. And fun to drive
