I checked it with the MOT guys. Parking brake needs to be mechanical in NL. Otherwise I would have made myself something 2 years ago already
I hope you can prove me wrong!

Things have changed, hydraulic hanbrake is allowed nowadays.
But has to be aproved by RDW. Only thing you need is a version with some kind of lock-up mechanism on the lever.
Many MOT guy's in The Netherlands are not aware of this and stick to the old rules....and tell you it's not allowed, they are totaly wrong.
(for example....I always had trouble getting MOT for my 1963 VW buggy.
-Most of them told me my car was poluting to much.....because of it's age it doesn't need to be MOT'ed for that.
-There are no flashing turninglights on the car.....yes indeed, look at those little things on my windscreen, if I move this lever to the left...they will come out and point the direction I'm about to go to...and it's street legal.
I had so many fights about this...and always got my MOT
)
Don't always believe what the MOT guys tell you, do your own research and know for sure.
T'hat's a nasty damage.....feel sorry for you!Last edited by flappie1883; 1 March 2009, 15:03.Comment

i had some problems with my koni-h&r combo.
the car nose touchs the road and the rear goes up, when i push the brake harder.
i tryed to adjust the konis 4 times. it was enough. i ordered a kw variante 3 today.
its will be in my hand on next weekend. i get back my car from the paint shop on april 1.
i hope i can install the kw until nurburgring.--------------------------------------------------------
