heater matrix is part of the coolant circuit mate

i've got to change mine soon, so you have my sympathies. Good news is its only about £60 from VAgparts.
Bad news is its a pig of a job, especially if you have aircon.

Just went to check over the car again, seems the coolant level is perfectly normal aswell, meh.

The picture of the engine bay that was previously shown of the V6 and the other car, what are you doing to the car when you put a ubend on the two holes where the tubes come out?

Also the light behind my clock is not on, and the passenger window goes up and down via the drivers controls, but only up via the passenger control!

In the v6 picture all ive done is remove the flow and return pipes from the matrix ends coming out of the bulkhead and then joined them together with a hose connector leaving the matrix disconnected.
If your matrix is gone you should smell coolant when the fan is on and heater on full also after a run check the blower outlets in the footwells for drops of water.

Ah i understand the hose thing now, thankyou sjw185. Well i thought it was simple till things started to go wrong! I duno about 'not hearing' of an 1994 Audi S2 Couple 2.0, but thats what the engine size is on the MOT and on the V5, (1984CC) so i hope i am correct? Please tell me otherwise though

I shall wait till tommorw to see whats what, also jsut found out the MOT expires in 2 days! :O

check your engine code on your v5 sounds like you have a 2ltr coupe?

at L reg, 94? that would be an ABY, so 6 speed gearbox if its an s2, also do you have a diff lock button next to the handbrake??

Oh ok, i see what you guys are getting at, yes it is a 2lr coupe, i assume all the coupes are called S2's then you have the differnet variants with the differnet engines sizes and models such as the model with the diff lock option, im only going on what the front of the manual says "S2 coupe".

ah lol that makes more sence, no the s2 was the top model in the 80 range, 2.2 I5 turbo but neway the pipes in your car will be in the same place, probably a fair bit easyer to get to aswell!

I was going to comment, £400 for an S2, even with a lot going wrong, is a bargain. Unfortunately less so for a 2.0 coupe...

Mmm well lets not get bogged down in the specifics of my poor 2.0

My god it was so hot today the water in the back was gone and tuned into a horrible steamy, Audi 2.0 sauna.

Taking it to my mechanic in a few days as the MOT is going out the window in 2 days, might aswell kill 2 birds with one stone, allthough the MOT might turn up more birds than my stone can handle. :S

Hope you dont have too long a list after the MOT
Have a search for cabin leaks and wet floors you will find some more info on what to look for
