Audi S2 3B back on the road

I have just got my 3b back on the road with a rebuild slightly more extensive than yours, though i have just replaced the turbo this week end (when does it stop? ).
So i know what you have just been through and well done, it feels such a relief when it passes the MOT.
I also have the abs light on, I dont know what it is, do u just suspect a worn sensor as my brakes are good and so are the pads?

Hi Michael

The ABS was a sensor and needed to clear the fault code off the ecu to get rid of light...still have loads to do as the paint work is needing machine polished and need to treat alittle bit of the rear panel with rust killer stuff

How will I know which sensor it is or is it a case of replacing them all? Are they expensive?
My paint needs machine polished as well after being a bit neglected the past year. Though i dont trust my self to do it! I will hopefully get up to Aberfeldy in the Autum some time, hopefully in the S2 if I do hope to pop in and see the results of your labour.

When using vag.com ...go into controllers click the tab for ABS and it will tell you which one is faulty..fix and clear code and light gone....The next time you are up give us a shout and will meet up

Where did you get the hall sender plug from? I need one for the crank sensor as mine's phooked?

Robbed it from a old audi 100 5 cylinder have 4 cars (audi's)on bricks at the moment were i am working on her so parts a plenty

I take it you had to do the mods to the new headlights to get them to work? same as jas did with cutting them open to change over the direction plate?

Well quick update on the car............The weather has been a wash out so getting to the paint work has been a struggle..praying it is going to stop raining tomorrow so i can start wet sanding the roof and rear tail gate and then machine polish.............The brakes are hopefully going on tomorrow ..have had a few issues with Hispec regarding carriers and fitment ....The other issue i have is that the car is only boosting to 10psi...I have had the ecu out and the car has been chipped ....When i stripped the top end i checked all the boost hoses(had them off) and the vacuum hoses..changed over the DV just to cover everything...scanned with vag.com and no codes now....so with this i took the cap off the WG and found a spring that could replace the one on the suspension (huge) s really puzzled to low boost ...So did a bit of tom foolery with the wiring on the N75 and made the car run on mechanical boost via the wastegate and she went straight to 28psi ..so should i be looking at the boost pressure sender for the fault ?

Well it been a while since i have put anything up here so i thought i would do a quick last few months recap

Well the car has had its issues lately immobilizer wiring was shot..nearly set the car alight this has been taken out (pic of were it melted and shorted against the steering column)



Body work has been done to a degree..had to wet sand the roof and then finish off with machine polisher came up well




Just the lower trim needs rubbed down and painted


Today i have replaced the Oil cooler as it was rotten and was getting misting in the water which pointed to this..changed the oil and filter and all better

HAd a little spare time left over so detailed the engine bay

Why do RHD S2,s have the battery up front?? LHD Have it under the rear seat...
