Fuk me I want a set of those spanners!!! Do you know how much they normally are retail??

They would have saved a fair bit of swearing when removing my turbo and EM the other day. I have to have some!!!

i'm not sure on retail price because my bro got them from his tool supplier-they are an entry level set("seigen" is the brand name) but for £70 squid you really can't go too far wrong-could have got a similar set of britool or snap on but i'm not made of money

As you say, can't go wrong for 70 quid. You will find them very useful for S2 maintenance.

I got a small set of the banana shaped lads at a good price from Brown Bros in Glasgow. It's nuffin compared to that big beastie set though. sign me up. Maybe we could get discount on the retail price if we did a group buy? If we can find them that is

              good news gentlemen........

              http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=140256442668 at £66 inc delivery
              or
http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=139428 (free postage here. comes in at £62.95)

I don't think I can splash 60 quid on spanners just now. I'm definitely in need of an electric torque gun thing though.

Nice one Noel good find!! I don't expect that we would get them any cheaper than that anywhere, Sealey stuff is normally pretty good quality, not quite up to Snapon standards but perfectly acceptable non the less. I can't really afford them myself having just splashed out on an RS2 EM to replace my shagged Nothelle one, but I don't think I can stop myself knowing how useful they would be when putting it all back together again. Oh well what are credit cards for??

the rear box is from jetex, the rest of the system is powerflow-for now:mischeif:
i removed the center box so it's only got the rear box to kill the noise-sounds

got round to fitting the wgfv and x member-intercooler hose this morning.
that old crappy hose was the source of many a boost leak,at times even blowing clean off good riddance

                      the old wgfv:

had to cut it off because the clip holding it on was so seized, but it all went without a hitch.
And a shot of how the engine bay looks now:

changed one the of the rubber charge pipes for a metal one-which happened to be a peice of a calibra turbo down pipe-which just so happened to be a perfect match bend wise note the rubber connectors-yes they suck, but work well for now,i'm going to get hold of some silicone ones and some t bolt clamps.
heres one of the damaged charge pipe:

and one of the hose from the wastegate-i didn't notice this until i took the clip off:http://good-times.webshots.com/photo...03765405xjAzLB

the new charge pipe in place:

Also sacked off the airbox for a cone filter-the sound is just too good to deny myself
but with all good things comes a downside-i think i'll need a new clutch before long

well i haven't really been doing much on the car as the weather, daylight, and workload have not been on my side
managed to get round to painting the areas where i've removed the felt sound deadening.i happen to have some two part epoxy paint left from work and it did the job nicely-it sets almost like a really hard plastic coating so i think it's ideal.
bearing in mind that it's not the final finish for the cabin as theres a lot of work to do yet
i'm toying with carpeting the floor again but using something light and relatively thin for a nice neat finish-but the cage will be next on the list before that happens.
                        heres a little preview:

                        i also discovered this:
                        http://good-times.webshots.com/photo...03765405EpKWsJ

WTF?i don't even know what that is-could anybody help with that?
it's the large black cable that runs from the front of the car down both the driver and passenger side and up behind the rear door card-pretensioner?maybe?whatever it is i don't think its meant to be chopped off

CD changer lead? Doesn't look like anything I've ever found...

I'm looking forward to doing all this work early next year in preparation for some M3 baiting on track in 2009!

it looks like some sort of cable,as in the kind associated with proconten etc-it beats me

i think i'll be lucky to get my car done by 2009-let alone get it on the track
