Why not show some piccys from the weekend ( saturdays) work..

Started with light work, mount the A-pillar trim from Aron

After that, i mounted the helpersprings, and saw that they worked( psst, coil-over sleeves, posted to me today )

Then i started to measure out right width and ET for the rims, The weird way
wrapped a paper around the 18" wheel (have the same height as the slicks im going to use) and moved it out as much as i dared to, also moved out the ET 10mm extra, since it would be hitting the suspension strut @ rear with this backspacing.

      this wheel has awesome traction!

And Jamo, DONT TALK 5HIT ABOUT MY UGLY RIMS!

Forgot some pics on the front wheel well modification,

in order to get the wheels to clear the sideskirts, i had to take out my hungry angle-grinder

these pieces are in the way for the wheel..

        Ooops

        Ooops again

Welded,(other side, **** it´s hard to weld when its running wax from the inside of the side skirt..)

        Finished

I'm interested to see how this works out, it makes a change for someone to try something different, only thing i'm wondering is if/and how much tramlining you will get with them front rims but if you can dial that out should be very interesting.

Top marks for doing what you want

                  Sorry - from wikipedia

Tramlining is the tendency of a vehicle's wheels to follow the contours in the surface upon which it runs. The term comes from the tendency of a car's wheels to follow the normally recessed rails of street trams, without driver input in the same way that the train does.

Tramlining can usually be blamed on tires, and its incidence depends greatly on the model of tire and its state of wear. Although not normally dangerous, at very high speeds it can become a source of instability.

Vehicles with large and wide low profile tyres are more prone to the effects as well as vehicles which have wheels fitted that are larger than the manufacturers recommendation or have reinforced sidewalls. People who are relatively inexperienced with driving with this tendency will feel that they have to make continual course corrections and it is very easy to over compensate the steering - which could potentially lead to veering off the road expecially if the road is a narrow track/country road.

The effects of tramlining can be eased by subjecting the vehicle to an inspection and calibration of the wheels (ie. a full geometry check) or replacing the tyres with non reinforced (soft sidewall) tyres.

what are you proposing to do with the front bumper to match the fender extentions?

Ive got a couple of other questions, but you dont have to answer them as there a little personal....

at 16/17, how the hell can you afford an RS2?

at 16/17, what do you do for a living that gives you the available funds for this sort of "project" ontop of already having bought an RS2?

or, are your family just uber wealthy?

either way, top respect to you, whats the planned finish time for this project, cant wait to see the finished article!

Well it looks very good.. In this video ( was looking for picture and couldnt find one) you can see he has your arches although on a much later model and they look ok to me and after looking at your first car (hot rod) i can see why you want arches. Only kidding your hot rod looks ace.. i love them.

Little update, mobile pics though.. forgot the camera @ home

Was in the garage like 2 hrs yesterday, most phone talking but little i got done..

Mounted the brackets for the new RARB

but as you see, audi has managed to put the toe adjuster in a fairly stupid place!

but i will bend done the tube About 50mm so i get the knife under the toe adjuster, like this:

Have ordered the custom knifes also ( very much shorteer than an regular knife) so these will hopefully be home until i come home next time..
