I think your right about the sound being out of sync with the footage. You can see the car move on the rollers after the power is let off but the sound keeps going for another 5 or so seconds.

The power it makes on the turbo is very very high, I haven't seen many people including the evo's making that sort of power on a gt35r on road fuel. What size hotside does it run? 1.06?

As for the compression I dont know who told you that Jogi but a low compression engine is going to lead to it being a pig off boost. It wont come on boost as early as a higher comp engine. It also wont produce as much low down torque as a higher comp engine. But as can be seen you can wind lots of timing into it to make up for the low comp.

What sort of head work does the engine have Doug?

Lastly i think its cracking to see an Audi producing more power than the Evos!

You want as high a CR as possible to generate good low down torque and power. 7 is loooooooooooow

Sorry for thread hijack, but this is just what I was told.
It is low for sure. But apparently it allows you to run really aggressive and advanced ignition timings. hence the results I had in my original setup.
Take a look at my original dyno plot and note that I had close on max torque by 2500rpm and a nice flat line thereafter. Don't ask me how or why, and I know it goes against the logical way of thinking, but it worked.

1.06 hotside - but this has also been ported and polished

also has: cees/jeffry tubular exhaust manifold, hks wastegate,wastegate back into DP, 4" downpipe but his goes to 3" under the car. wagner inlet manifold, the big ebay FMIC, arrow rods, custom je pistons, 10 bar bosch rally pump (right on the limit of this pump), 750cc injectors at 4 bar.

the head has oversized valves and flush in the head with a lot of lift. Solid lifters but i think with the right hydraulic lifters you will get upto 8k and so a lot less hassle than the solid lifters. all ported.

chris - that is your turbo giving you low down torque - just a good low spool for the car - it is hard to tell from that graph if compression is low.

Hells racing S2 makes the same sort of power on road fuel and a GT35

I was in Marks a few months ago and i think his a lot more drivebale - seems to kick lower down and harder.

Mapping still needs to be finished as I hadn't competed the exhaust at the time,(still haven't )

When I get my finger out and finish that, maybe we could finish the mapping off on a dyno?

i was only going for 600 but hoped for 620+ after we got it running.

mark - get he exhaust done and we will give you a shout the next time are doing cars on a dyno. Or if it is not until beginning of next year we can do it on our dyno.

Cool, what kind of dyno are you guys getting? Mustang, Dyno Dynamics, Rototest, Dastek, Bosch, MAHA, Superflow.. not a Dynojet, I'm sure....

36psi down to 30 psi at redline.

what does yours run?

I run 33psi from spool up all the way to redline about 7600rpm.

the difference is i run a .82 hotside and can see boost about 600 rpm sooner depending on the gear, but as audiman said somewhere before, cars like these are supposed to be drove with with your foot on the floor so turbo lag is not apparent between gear changes.
