Slowly but surely going on... Sorry for the lo-res pix, my phone was empty so had to use the crappy blackberry-cam. Hope to send it to the garage for finishing of the electronics etc. in 2 weeks or something.

That's right. It is. Since the expenses have gone over 15.000 euro's now, we decided to use a cheap STR for the time being, that was (brand new) just 220 euro incl shipping. The original one had quite some cracks, so we're not gonna mount that one. When the engine runs and some time has gone by, there's a good chance it's going to get a wagner or sth.

Sorry for the late reply!! Had not much time to work on it but it's near to running, last week some hours were spent by the garage on the smaller details (vacuum pipes, electronics, etc) and I hope it runs next week. @Sküll, yes everythings fits nice. We brought it to a garage to have these things fixed and have it safety-checked, but it took them over 4 months to start working on it... (has been standing in a corner for ages over there) So that's a bummer but time flies also without the car, so we'll just wait.

Yay it's running! Now we have to fit proper rear brake calipers (we need RS6 calipers) and we can finally drive it... Woohoo!

                          nice to hear this

you will have to tell me if it is hard to do the swap in the competition engine bay to 5cyl 20vt with radiators,fan,clima....

and what about the transmission?? the complete 3B transmission it is perfectly valid for swap in the competition?? ARV gearbox,3B propshaft and 3B rear diff??? all plug/play??

crossing fingers for a positive reply

You need an Avant rear diff Tomas, coupe completely different. Saloon rear is the same as Avant.

OK i did not knew nothing about it.....

so i could use the 3B or ABy propshaft + DSY gearbox (same size as the CGR´s true? ) and s2/rs2 avant rear diff........

i will have to look for it...in the wanted section or in Spain..... or buy it a new one from factory..but surelly will be very expensive

                              many thanks for advise friend¡¡

edit: Ur S4/S6 rear diffs are the same as the S2/RS2 avants??

Yes you need ABY prop for your DSY, im sure you will be able to find someone selling an ABY diff in UK or Germany who can post to you. I wouldnt recommend buying one from a dealer...(unless you have won the lotto already)
