The subframes were off, so it made sense to have them shot blasted and powder coated.

Still awaiting arrival of the hub carriers as the first lot that I found got lost in the post!
Replacements were found and should be there soon.
Last but not least for now, the Roose Motorsport hose kit was fitted so plumbing to engine almost complete.

Finding the rear hub carriers to move my project along has proved quite an experience.
I found a pair, but these got lost in the post by DPD. The seller was good enough to offer a replacement. Someone he knew had some. Unfortunately, it would appear that persons mechanical knowledge is worse than mine – quite a feat! They could not get the brake calipers off so took to using an angle grinder to release the retaining bolts. To make matters worse, to clean things up a disc sander was used.
So, I am still looking for a pair of hub carriers. For now, someone has very kindly lent me a pair to allow my project to move forwards. Alex (Error_404) also offered to strip and lend the ones from his own car until a set could be found. Massive thank you’s to good people who are prepared to go the extra mile to help fellow forum member out.
So, at long last having obtained the carriers, I have a new back end waiting to go onto the car.
Old uprights
Stripped and assembled with new tubes and platforms for coil-overs

Caliper Carriers
As with all modification work, fitting the new hubs has had some knock on effects which has slowed work down.
New front caliper carriers were needed and courtesy of Alex (thank you), I have these on their way
And hard anodised
For some reason, the rear carriers still fitted

April
A little bit more work has been completed at the business end of the car.
With the new DTA ECU the engine bay can be somewhat de-cluttered by going coil on plug.
New ABY rocker cover was prepared.
And bolted on, so the engine now looks like this (with the new coils).

On the subject of de-cluttering, it was decided to move the battery to the boot.
The main purpose was to create a bit more room, but it really helps with aesthetics and removes some weight from the front. It also meant I had the height to fit a front strut brace.
