BTW, I like the mounting point for your SC. You just gave me a clue as to where I'm going to mount my Whipple. Then from the Whipple into a GT42.

I need the AC compressor though so I'll have to find a place to move that to. Maybe where the power steering pump usually sits. Then just run an MR2 electric PS pump.
All twin screw SC are typically louder than the roots type as they are never truly disengaged, hence the factory air boxes and hemholz resonators which are used in OEM applications. One way I heard that would help to quiet this down a bit would be to install a huge butterfly valve on the intake side of SC (like directly after air filter) and then control it via your throttle cable. Basically run 2 throttle cables from the same pedal. A huge throttle body, like one from a Nissan VH45DE, would work. If you notice a lot of noise comes directly out from the air filter, even when idling. I'd also try to insulate the intake pipes with some of that black AC insulator you get at the local home improvment store.Comment

The gt 42 s too big for a car with AC
2.2 liters are too little for his. No matter SC. This turbo will operate at an inefficient part of the map. Seen this already. Even if you go for stroker.
