I've got a lot of this to come with the ur, people reckon I should leave it standard but I quite like djones's car with the 20v so dunno....
The 10v sounds lovely but having driven an S2 you will get tired of the 10v power delivery to the point you wont use it...

      Been there....

Two things I need to find out is:

        1. if porsche callipers will go under neath the fusch alloys
        2. if you had to modify any of the body of the engine bay to fit the 20v?

Gald you've decided to keep it David - definately the right decision

You sure the new diff seals were installed straight the first time round? If they're not aligned right in the casing they can weep BTDT.
Most of the stuff is fairly minor when you think back to your can of worms project, so in perspective its all gravy mate

I think the Fuchs rims are 15", I'm sure someone will be along with a definitive answer soon enough.

You're right mate, its the money which isn't flowing as it was back then which makes it all the more complicated really.

Car is currently marooned on the drive, found the cause of the fan problems....12v feed to back of fan ist kaput -- wire seems to have got plenty of heat and its fatigues off the connector...

                          Sorry David...

I wouldn't think they would fit, the 15" is ok its the 7J area that will be to tight. Your more than welcome to try a Fusch on mine.

No alterations required to the engine bay.

thinking of renaming it Project Glacier....only they move quicker than this project thats for sure.

I had 25 mins yesterday messing with the drivers side door seal trying to stop the new ensuite swimming pool from filling again from all this rain - however sum total of effort after a 10litre soaking was no real improvement. Am thinking a replacement door seal is the only way.

other than that, no real progress to note, though it is growing some green stuff in the hard to reach spots...is that progress?

Have had absolutely no time to do anything since before ADI...been away almost every week for 2-3 days at a time and then weather has been crap so unfortunately as much as i want to get it back on the road, its not been possible.

I did manage to remove the rad and get new wires and connector block sorted but still need to splice them in.

Cheers for asking though Pete and at some point we should hook up as its been an age.

                              Cheers

Well thanks to my ex I now have a lot of spare time and cash compared to when I was with her so can meet up anytime when i'm either :

                                a) not at work (which is a waste of time currently for what i'm paid)
                                b) working on the urq
                                c) working on the s2
                                d) working on madwolf's avant

lol. I still have those sunroof panel bits for you, hoping to have a car on the road soon to come to one of the meets. We will see tho.
