at the moment it has a couple of creature comforts for next weeks trip...carpet, ipod connection, aircon etc in terms of overall fate around road or track i think that is determined by time and money which are both very thin on the ground following the effort needed to get this thing roadworthy agaibn lol

budget no issue it would be caged, recaro'd and thrashed but havent the cash to track it enough to make the change at the mo...so it needs to be a daily driver again - convinced this is the cheapest way to keep an s2 is to use it...they cost a fortune when laid up in my experience

she lives - aircon is recharged and life is distinctly coooooooolio again

pressure checked to 160psi and then vac'd and all seemed well, dropped in the oil and rs24 gas and brrrr returned.

£55 and one very (relieved) happy customer

very Slight oil weep from the compressor but will see if i can resolve that before i go but shouldnt be anything to worry about i hope

well, thats it as much as i can do is done and i am ready for the trip.

Had the car up on 4 stands yesterday to get underneath and check everything was nice and tight and no alarming leaks and all seems ok

Bled the clutch, much easier in the daylight i have to say, last time i was under there at about 8pm in sept with lights lol.

changed the rear springs for a new set of H&R fronts and initially i was alarmed how high it sat but thankfully after a test run last night it settled down - good job as was initially looking very.....um.....chav

new set of drop links and greased everything in sight up - freed off the tie rods at the rear in readiness for an alignment on Tuesday.

These were the ebay specials i removed after 2 yrs and less than 5k mines

            engine bay

took it to Goodwood this morning and it felt great and washed up nice, just got to stop myself staring at the roof and it looks lovely again

so maybe a quick wax and polish on Tuesday, 4 wheel alignment and then all things being equal.....i'm ready for Le Mans.

Big thanks to everyone who has helped get it sorted and provide parts that seemingly just dont exist anymore - couldnt have done it without you you know who you are

            oh....aircon was looooovely today

Well I won't be bothering to open my bonnet at any point

But due to doing nothing with my air conditioning, I will be having to open my windows and sunroof!

                      It's looking good!
