Lol, I have been very lucky.. to be honest I rarely use them as the Porsche and the Ur are just so much more fun..

What have you done or not done with your suspension set up?

Darren! Now this is just not fair! You have the best of both worlds

As for selling, still thinking, but tending to think SOD it, lets keep the quattro and polish it a little more, the small things you do can often be the most satisfying. The suspension can still be improved a little, and then I can enjoy driving it harder than ever, maybe even brave a trackday.

Still want a muscle car that handles though! (if there is such a thing)

I don't think I will part with mine, the v8 won't do it for you.. I have a v8 cobra and a v8 gt40 neither are anywhere close to the ur and if they were the suspension design would probably kill you. To be fair the gt40 can handle and it has circa 400bhp but traction is a problem...

Any way it's your choice get on and enjoy whatever you do..

    Darren.
Valid points Darren, I think I have a bit of a V8 and Classic itch that I want to scratch though. The quattro is so fast I sometimes wonder if I would have just as much fun in something with lots of feel good factor, head turning looks and V8 rumble.

I always think that a lot of cars sound like a good idea, but you never really know till you have actually drive one, which is easier said than done for most classics.

I rode shotgun in a Shelby GT350 at a circuit once, and I was impressed how together it felt, the 289 V8 revved quite well and the handleing seemed quite balanced. The Falcon is also campaigned with a lot of sucess in historic racing.

GT40 is a dream car for me, although I suspect the practicalities of using one must be a nightmare!?

Still, I don't know if I can bare to do it! I have invested so much time money and effort into this car to make it my own.

If I do put it up for sale then I will be looking at something very different, such as a 1965 Ford Falcon Sprint, maybe with a highly modded engine or some kind of crate v8

I'm such a car nut that my mind is always on the go about various different cars with my"imaginary" budget

I think you will live to regret it! You will get another car and then just start modding again... it's an addition of sorts.
    flog the focus instead

Not exactly the ideal time to sell.

Quattro values have firmed up quite a lot recently trhough.

Of course the scary bit is how much I have spent on the car in the 6 years that I have had it...

prices have doubled in the last 4 years,a pal sold his converted wr(to 20vt)1986 model for 9k last week, allthough its a strange world with these cars,a lot of people like them to be standard(not me tho)
