I got everything but the car, so I'm looking for a 90 quattro, must be fairly complete and driveable.

        Hello.

I have a friend with the same swap but in a UR. The gearbox is ok sure for 350hp (discussion with Martinsson who "eat" some GB in run) if no run because of the primary shaft is to thin. After 350hp it's very very difficult to not break the GB with the 5 cylinder torque.
For the tunnel, sorry i don't know if we talk about the same thing. I talk about the cockpit floor which is on the gearbox, to put an S2 GB you have to cut a part otherwise the GB touches it.

hmm never heard of that, are you sure? You'd need to lose the procon-ten bracket on the GB but other than that there should be no problems.

It is possible to fit without cutting the floor, but you do need to adjust the linkage.

                        Hi,
ALWAYS GREAT TO SEE ANOTHER TYP85 TURBO CONVERSION.

                        - Gearbox is ok for 350hp max(i have another and UR gearbox+rear deck)
                        - I will use 80% of time my quattro on circuit.

If i want to put a GT3076 or other i will have to put all of a S2 (gearbox, transmission etc...) so i will have to cut the tunnel to passe the gearbox.
i RAN MINE WITH ORIGINAL 016 GEARBOX WITH GARRETT T34 RUNNING 390BHP AND THEN GARRETT T61 RUNNING 530BHP. NO PROBLEMS WITH STRENGTH OF G/B, JUST SHORT RATIOS - THIS WAS OK WITH FIRST TURBO BUT PARTICULARLY BAD WITH T61.
NO WAY A WEAK BOX THOUGH!

HERE IS A LINK TO CONVERT TO 6 SPEED WITHOUT THE NEED FOR WIDENING TUNNEL

GOOD LUCK WITH FINISHING THE PROJECT.

                          Thanks Jogi
I follow the evolution of your T85 a long time, It's beautiful.
I specially like the way to include the intercooler with the bumper

I hope my O16 will ok as long as it's possible. Ok with on the shortest of speeds.
So what is the max speed for you with the 016 and at which rpm?

anyway i have a gearbox and duck from UR quattro which is a little more long than de 90Q gearbox. So i will not pass on S2 GB until a break my 2 T85 GB and UR quattro one

                          thanks.

I have seen that before. It's Patrick from Belgium who makes the linkages. He is a good friend of Nero

I think 250km/h should be possible , considering the fact that the rev limiter/usable torque range is way higher with a 20vt then with the 10v lump. 10v ends somewhere about 5500 rpm i think, and you're driving 200-210 i think? So with a 7200rpm redline, you should be able to go a bit faster then that. I think the 016 will do just fine, and those violent short gear ratio's are only fun

                                Thanks.

I was thinking about 230km/h 250km/h seem to be too but i hope so

ok with you for the 016 short gear but it can be a bad thing in long circuit to always change the speed in each big straight line.
