Forget a garrett for 450-500 range 3071 is good up to 450 max then there is a gap to 500 bhp which then enters the 3076r

What this means is your stuck with either a 3071.82r or a 3076.63 to get the 450-500 power but neither are ideal as the 3071 is optimal with the .63 hotside and the 3076 is optimal with the .82

Aron and 4wheel drifter both have / had 3076 with the .63

If your buying a new turbo then buy the Compturbo triple bearing CT355 0.63A/R, guaranteed 500 bhp, lag of 3071.63 power of the 3076.63

    Repo is european dealer.

Failing this buy the FP HTA3076r which is a brilliant turbo.

Do not forgot the turbo dynamics MD357 BB which is also a good turbo but in the higher price bracket

think jamo has it here in a nutshell.

the basics are the size of the unit rather than the manufacturer. there are so many types of turbo and even many variations of the same thing.

the thing to rememnber is compromise. the basis of turbo engines. big turbo big power narrow powerband high rpm. smaller unit higher boost and torque lower hp, wider power band.

            lpg

has any one got lpg as i heard it runs at 110 octane and of course it is only 60p a litre
if this is the case does any body know of a good company who will map a tuned car with lpg

one more thing who can i get to pull or roll the wheel arches we are going to try and weld bigger ones first but would like if they could be rolled or pulled as it may be alot quicker

thanks guys getting some good ideas here

One job at a time Seen too many over-ambitious projects on here have £000s sunk into them and they get sold in bits before they get completed. Leave the LPG for now, you'll need a top end system and that'll cost you a small fortune.

Why do you want wider arches? 225/235/245 tyres have plenty of grip and fit over most brake setups.

Because he has genuine RS4 wheels to fit...

Are you not thinking of E85 as opposed to LPG?

Interesting thread, similar to what I am looking at I didn't know Repo was the dealer for CTs as I think thats what I am going for assuming my T3 flanged EM is ok for that. REPO! REPO! where are you???

For E85 you should check out EspenW's threads, he's had some great results on his RS2.

E85 you need 30-40% more fuel, so some rather large injectors 1000-1600cc and twin fuel pumps as minimum

LPG is a better option due to the problems getting E85 in the U.K however don't get ahead of yourself, see too many projects on here where people don't complete the basics.

Do it in stages or else you will lose interest and not see the results

just seen about lpg in a mag and was wondering but as the car is in bits at mo i might as well do all im going to while its down other wise you end up paying more on labour to take things apart again which seems silly

as for the arches yes they are et 20 had them on coupe on standard springs and they rubbed as i now have lowered on the avant i have no chance so need to do something and i love the look of wheels filling the arches
