        The arms are from a 2006 A4, with oem blades.
        Very weird fitting.

          Rear arm and blade turned up.
          "Exactly" what I wanted. Shorter and looks a bit better (420mm overall length).
          I would get rid of the whole feckin thing if by doing so it didn't leave a hole in the rear screen .
          I just like the clean look of the rear with no wiper.
          Shame, once the tow bar has gone and the rear tailpipes are sorted, a binned rear wiper would have been the icing.

          It comes from a 96 - 2000 A4 Avant.

              If its any thing like the fitting i had on the B6 its really odd and new ones were daft expensive. Did you find them from ebay/breaker?

                  jas - what about removing the wiper/motor and using a bung in the place, i've seen it done on a few s2avants now with good results, really cleans it up.

                          A rear wiper recap;

                          Original;

                          Interim;

                          And now de-wipered;

                          A lot smoother and how I want the rear to look. Be even better when I can remove the towbar ugliness and sort some nicer tailpipes. May just bite the bullet and replace the black lower valance with a brand new one.

                          Rear wiper motor/assembly removed;

                          The glass grommet;

                          Fitted, glued and sealed in place;

                          The front wipers I'm still messing with. I guess this is what good ole vagparts had to do in a way when they developed the kit for our S2's way back. It's just a trial and error of different later arms from various cars.
                          The ones I pictured further up just weren't working. I got another drivers side to use on the passenger side, but still a no go. Looked as awkward as the originals.
                          So spied a set of 2006 VW Polo arms and blades. The drivers is perfect. Sits straight and low down on the screen. The passenger side not so.
                          Going to straighten and shorten it at work next week. Well I'll pass it to one of the apprentice jig techs

                          Oh noes, looks a bit silly ;

                          Getting better;

                          Again, thanks to "dubmeister" for the heads up on the glass grommet.

                              I think it might be Polo arms that the VAG parts kit for the S2 used. I went to a local VW dealer with one of the blades to get replacements and it was a polo number that popped up. Took a looooong time of explaining that I didn't have a reg. plate for the car or what car they were from...

                              Halfrauds was even worse, I just walked out after about 5 minutes of banging my head against the wall.

                                I think if I remember right, our S2 kit comprised, two drivers side passat arms, a drivers side passat blade and a Lupo/Polo passenger blade. Something like that.

                                I noted in Helfrauds yesterday while getting some number plates made up, they now sell blades that fit that side pin fixing we have on the Vagparts kits.
                                They even did them in that weird fixing I pictured further up the thread and again this different 2006 Polo fixing.
                                At least we should be able to take an old blade in and match up a new one without a nosey dealers wanting to know what size pants you have on

                                Question, WhyTF all these different blade fixings on VAG cars. Are they mad??
