The basic cables can be had for £5 including shipping, so I can't imagine why anyone at least remotely interested in the workings of VAGs would not have at least one of these.
For example from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-OBD-II-2...item41636c05dc

The 2x2 adapter is like £2 or so shipped.

With these you can log the basic groups, which is pretty much all the B4s have anyway. Read and erase fault codes, log FATS times, log rpm vs. time for Virtual Dyno plots, etc.

Yes and 4 x electric Windows + very cheap price + repaired head gasket,heating matrix and cam belt serviced

You gotta have the correct driver for your version of Windows.

Must also assign a COM port. Then it should work.

Finally got this custom pipe work done,ready to use perfectly in my engine bay to use with the 4" turbo inlet and 3.5" rs4 maf / filter.


I hope to finish it the Friday and have some fun with the beast

This is not good. You should not insert the metal pipe in the MAF, it will change the diameter of the MAF and the entire calibration will be off!
Cut that off and put a silicone hose ON the maf.

Unless of course it is only seeming that way in the picture and you do plan to put a silicone coupler on.

I will let my cables and the software Tom , its very easy to use , i check that pipe to the maf and it will work fine . New toys on the way ...kkkkkkkkkkk
