Your IC setup brings back some memories.

So.. the ax has fallen and last November I was able to pick up not one, not two but three Ur-q for the price of one. Here is the original ad: "I have three Ur Qattros on the blocks... 1. 1981 Mars Red (yes an 81 from Europe) that is a rust free shell but has 90% of the parts brought in as a...

You're right!! It's a 10 year old small camcorder. I just don't use camcorders any more as I record everything in HD on my Nokia N8! Difficult to justtify buying another camcorder just for trackday stuff....

Trust me it was very loud!

Damo, nice resdults! my car has power in a similar ballpark at least, what have you done to make your car really handle?

Particularly what bushes and mounts do you use? Also springs and dampers.

I still have stock bushes everywhere albeit all replaced not long ago before I went power mad. Then I have H&R spring and Koni inserts. Not bad, but not the last word in precision

Any hidden gems that improved it no end?

I orignallly wanted the car to be ok on the road so I went for bilstein inserts in S2 uprights and H&R lowered springs (a combo that was recommended to me). Tbh this was good enough for outright cornering but there was a bit too much roll induced understeer. I then welded a rear anti roll bar from an S2 on (the rear) and put an RS2 one on the front and this sorted it right out! Still leans a bit (as you can see from the pic above but I was really cornering hard here) but is now pretty neutral. Kinda got there by complete accident relly but I really am happy with the on track handling. It is too hard for the road day to day but ok for the drive to the circuit.

Bush-wise I have poly bushes everywhere and I have ally solid subframe mounts .

Just bought some harder engine mounts (from a German manufacturer via the 'states!).

What do you plan to do with your car? (looks quality btw! )

We're in the process of converting from hydraulic to vacuum servo assitance for the braking system. What servo did you use and any other tips?
