AAN powered 80q

I've just started a new project.
I have all the details on another Audi forum, unfortunately it's too much to have two seperate threads going at the same time (what with pictures, replies etc).
Basically I've taken a B4 80q, taken out the V6 and shoved in the engine from my S6 Avant

The engine mounts came from a B4 (not a V6)

there were not bolt on, were they ?

No they weren't.
Measured, then tacked in place, offered up another engine to make sure all was well.
Few adjustments, then welded in place.
I will get pictures up (soonish) of the brackets

About time I updated this and did a proper build thread

Got the car back to a mates garage and wasted no time in cracking with this.





Front OS wing was pretty much shagged



Front removed in preperation in removing the V6

Battery placement
Due to the engine bay being a bit on the cramped side and to sling a bit of weight in the back, it was decided to put the battery in the boot


Next up was to go mad with the needle gun, wire brush and hammerite.
I changed all the bushes for Powerflex ones so I thought it was a good time to clean everything up whilst the lot was stripped down.
New wheel bearings were purchased along with top mounts, will be doing a full list of parts bought at the end of the project.

Some more hanging artwork, this time in the shape of G60 S2 front brake calipers to replace the original single pot ones.
Want to make sure I can stop in the bloody thing....

The idea from the start was an S2 Saloon replica, with RS2 power.
When the set up was in the S6 it was put on the rollers knocking out 313bhp and 315 lb/ft torque.
Since then I've changed over to a FMIC (not sure if I've gained anything there)

More shiny brake pipes, servo fitted, brake pipes re-routed, steering arms re-fitted, loom is pulled through and the engine is bay ready to receive the AAN



OEM fuel lines re-shaped and re-routed to fit onto the fuel rail



Gear linkage from the S6



Megsey still hard at it with the wiring



Engine and gearbox were taken out together, but the gearbox had to be separated as the thrust bearing was knackered, new bearing changed bolted back to the engine



Was very happy when I saw this, dual mass flywheel had already been changed at some point in the passed before I owned it
