I'm pretty sure that the one on the left is 893881195 and one on the right 443881295.Leave a comment:

Anyone have the part numbers for these two retaining rubbers for the seat runners?Attached FilesLeave a comment:

I also tried to replace the plastic bushings for the seat latch But I can’t get the screw to undo to replace even with an impact screwdriver. I don’t think they are reverse thread eitherAttached FilesLeave a comment:

I’ve been taking a look at the front seats with Joshua to replace the seat runner rubbers and try to fix the release for tilt forward of the seats. I’m not sure the cable is routed correctly?
advice needed on how to proceed. The inside clamp isn’t releasing the seat back either due to cable stretch or mis routing. See attached picturesLeave a comment:

I know I can't quite believe its been 25 years. Engine has been rebuilt twice in my ownership, first when I first purchased and again a few years ago after having the oil cooler let go.Leave a comment:

Thanks for the support anthonys2 , it’s not something I’m going to rush into given how much I’ve put into the s2 over the years. It’s going to be really difficult to value. It’s well sorted mechanically and I have a big stack of parts and history. I’m going to wait until spring before making any decisions on a sale.Leave a comment:

Greg shocked to hear you might be considering selling your S2 after 25 years ownership. Mine is currently getting the underneath sorted it was a lot worse than I first thought but it’s in good hands. I sorted the headlining out on mine about 4-5 years ago and they did a super job it’s a tad lighter than original but that’s ok. Market value guessing yours is a 1993 car I’d say 16-18k which is crazy. Mines valued at 24k and I would only ever consider selling mine if someone came along and offered silly money! Sounds like you’ve got a couple of toys so just enjoy the S2 when the sun shines. I still get a huge smile and huge enjoyment when driving mine when you start to lose that then maybe it’s time. I also got an RS5 one of the very last v8s it’s a monster and love it despite being expensive. So I’d say keep the S2 as values will go up more and don’t give it away as you will regret! Sorry about long message.Leave a comment:

Just read this! Shocked! Hopefully get to chat next week.A small update this time around. I head the headlining replaced this week as it was just starting to sag a bit and the sunroof fabric had dropped. I took it over to A and R pound in Baldock. I had to wait 2 months to book it in, but it wasn't a job i thought id do well without making more work for myself.
Unfortunately they didn't manage to get the door cards done with the new audi fabric that Colesy helped supply jn the recent tradition group buy so i'll take those in over the winter.
So far this year I've covered under 500 miles and im considering selling the S2 next year so that someone else can get the use of it and perhaps focus my time on getting my Dads UR quattro out instead as I don't have time or space for both.
I've no idea what the market is like for S2 coupes now, but its fair to say mine has alot of history and improvements made through my ownership.
At this stage I'm putting it out there and I won't rush into selling but think its getting time after 25 years of ownership.

He did the recaro interior for my old quattro, took quite a while but was good value for money. After that lot I visited him to get the headlining done and went in quite a few times afterwards yet never saw any progress on it so just forgot about it. I'll have to see if my friend from school still works for him, I believe he quit ages ago. He did used to get some interesting vehicles in to work on, its just a shame that everyone used to smoke when you went in so the place smelled.Leave a comment:

Hi Greg
It's not a good time to be selling. The market is very depressed. I discovered when letting the Rs2 go. I would hang on for a bit if you can?

If you take the sun visors, grab handles and some trim out the headlining drops out and comes out through the tailgate. Then you can take it indoors and put it upside down on the kitchen tableFor headlining on a coupe my first thought was “well I'd need the vehicle upside down, minus the doors, on my desk”
It's a very different job on a cab.
On a coupe I guess I'd take the seats out, mask the entire interior minus the headlining with all the trim removed and get busy upside down with the glue solvent. Sounds like an evil job…
…which is why I assume it is so often terribly bodged…
I've done it a few times, changing sunroof cassettes etc..

Yeah they take their time. Friends have had to wait months to get stuff back as they're not the most organised. Friend had to try several times to get his bike seat finished.
Thanks for the offer Jay
