You do not need that.Rear longitudinal members fit head to head(b2 q and b3/b4q)They are identical. That members have a hole in them. When you cut from donor you cut at half of the hole.Same when you cut at coupe fwd(offcourse calculating cutting thickness). If you get the entire rear flor 0.5 cm more to front or more to rear it is not a crime, the prop can take that. The important thing is left and right rear to have same lenght measured from front of the car.A real problem will be getting the horisontal alignment of the rear flor.If you mess that caster angle will be compromised. But that also will be abble to be set-up.This problem can apear if you use the rear flor together with inner arches because b2 and b3/4 inner arces are not the same. They will need little mods so inner arches would not be fited exactly in the same position where old non quattro arches were(welding points would not help in alignment).
But you can keep inner arches from non quattro car and change only flor with longitudinal members.Even welding points in that case will be the same so you can not do a mistake(see Parvu Eugen project). But in my car i had to change also inner arches because the fwd rear arches in the point where strut is mounted were smaller than quattro strut mounting points and i wanted to use b4 rear suspensions. But also that is not a problem if you make custom strut top mountings and use small diameter springs(the b4 q springs will not fit in place of rear non quattro springs)But i saw some b2 FWD coupes that have bigger strut mountings on rear inner arches. What is youy tipe?

Thanks for the reply....I have found a S2 shell and thats why I asked. It is complete and bare metal. ...I would like to use full S2 running gear incl. rear struts.

P.S. I maybe have something in short time....what are you willing to pay for it??? (Send me email :-D)

Good to see an update. Have you looked at Hamish's thread on his new shorty rep? Useful pictures for cutting and shutting!

Yes, his work is top and very inspiring! I am renovating my house and that is why the money goes that way right now.

BTW they got a program for car recycling giving 300 Euros cut on the new car if you give your old for trash and they become really rare.

Not much of an update as I still look for a good donor car for running gear. Got an S4 6 speed box with linkage to fit on the car

I have some thoughts on going dry sump in order to have peace of mind with oil surge and also transfer oil cooler and oil tank to the rear of the car as the rally cars (under the big spoiler).

Question: Any thought on how to Rear mount the Water radiator on the back also? On idea is Hamish's approach to have a scoop underneath the car but it would compromise clearance and enganger the rad.

Look at mals ozzie s1 quattro project on this forum. He rear mounted the radiator in his s1 rally car with vents feeding it from the air dam on top of the boot as per the original rally cars.

I have seen it. Thing is I want to use stock(replica) Sportquattro rear panels that dont have air scoops.
