    Nice looking motor, you dont see many coupes with cup alloys.

    Just a suggestion, keep all your posts in one project thread, easier to follow your progress that way

                    Just got a price from the stealers for gaskets bolts seals etc, £380 Any ideas for cheaper alternatives

                          Rikki: I have bad news and bad news for you: Either the cam caps for cylinders 6 and 9 got swapped OR they are both turned 180 deg (can't tell for sure from your photo). You need to be able to read the cap numbers correctly from the intake manifold side of the head. I can see a "9" where a "6" should be and a "6" where a "9" should be. The cam caps are rifle-drilled with the head and should never be swapped or turned 180 deg.

                            caps no.9 and 6 are mixed up,

                            you can tell by the way they are stamped, in the lower half of the circular cast Dave,

                            although this isnt perfect, it will still be fine as long as theres no play in the cam with only 1 wrong cap in place, nor is there any resistace when turned by hand with no valve train, springs etc.

                            easy swop with no harm done hopefully
