Yesterday head was dropped to my friend who coated pistons.
Same stuff is applied to head and valves, so everything hanging around in combustion chamber is coated.

At weekend i am going to order about rest of the needed hardware.
Gaskets, cam chain, timing belt kit, sensors, head studs, breather and thermostat cover, etc etc...

      First set of items arrived.

      034Motorsport Track density gearbox mounts.

      ARP head studs...

Support brace for turbo, i´m not really sure does it fit to holset but it was cheap.
I can make a keyring out of it if there is fitting issue

"cobra" intake rubber hose, 4". Regular silicone hose does not fit properly because of headlight. I used ugly as f**k suction hose as temporary patent.

And for the lols, random picture from friends garage:

Got stuffs done. Not much, because of a small problem.

I put oil pump and water pump to the block, and i was going to put belt tensioner in and...
WTF. No holes for tensioner. How the hell i didn´t notice that before.
Water pump off, and some investigating, about 5mm of metal before water channels...

Luckily we had one AAN block at the garage.
Water pump and tensioner off from that block and then some sabloon work.
We cut a piece of cardboard and put that to front face of block.
With round headed hammer some hitting to cardboard to find the holes.

Sabloon done, i bolted that to my block from water pump holes. With metal spike we hit a small marks to the block for belt tensioner.

              First holes with 3mm drill.
Then "jigmaster/testmonkey/CNC any handtool Maik" had a idea to first drill 5mm hole to a piece of aluminium to get holes straight to the block.
Jig done and with that we got straight 5mm holes done to the block.
Some work with thread tool aaaaand it´s done.

Everything seems to be ok, test fitting and...

Later those bolts have to be glued on, as they go straight to water channels.

And back with the picture spam.
I disassembled and cleaned oil filter housing.

Test fitted intake rubber, looking good.

Also new exhaust + downpipe + screamer is on progress.

Didn't read anywhere, and maybe my memory is failing me () but which ECU is planned?

I think there is no mention of ECU anywhere, it is Tatech 32.

Btw, for HX35S and 500hp you will need water/meth injection and a lot of it. Or race fuel.
550 I think is not possible with that turbo and that hotside...

If you don't run water meth then limit is about 460-470hp realistically.
Of course you can always go to hyper optimistic dyno, but you get my point

I don´t know how optimistic tatech dyno is, but mulk (Andres S, if you know him?) dynoed this with HX35S. Water / Meth injection ofcourse.

                        I am going to run 98oct + water/methanol or RE85.

On E85 it should be doable.
With big methanol jets too, as I said.

                          Just not on pump fuel

                              Some accessories

                              Tommisbillet cam gear, newest version.

                              Engine pretty much assembled

                              Clutch fitting

Had to make show off window for the cam gear

                              Rerouting for turbo water hose

                              Some IC fitting:

And the final touch for sleeper look:

I have driven 250km with the new engine.
Seems to be working nicely, another 250km more and i´ll change to fully synthetic oils, some mapping and more boost...

                                800km driven with mineral water
Seems to be not smoking blue after break-in drive.

Yesterday i changed to 10w40 cheapest crap fully synthetic oils, aftermarket oilfilter and drove about 30kms to do oil flush.
After that, i changed to liqui moly 10w60 synthoil race tech gt1 with audi OEM oil filter.
Engine is running little bit smoother than with mineral "oil"...
