That looks fantastic! It's how it would have looked out the factory if Audi made a quattro limo

Great work, any reason you haven't pulled the centre front bumper section out though?

Reopen of this thread as I was waiting on some bits and bobs.

1st off the 6 speed gearbox has been used with the S2 gear linkage but you can not select gears (will not go into gear unless forced )

Anybody have a simple explanation of how to overcome this?

Can you select the gears with just the lever arm on the shift rod in the box. i.e. removing the linkage from the equation.
If not probably selector forks bent or some other internal gearbox issue.

The gearbox came off a running car that I drove back around 190 miles and then the engine and box remained together until the engine was changed (whilst the build was ongoing)

Brian has managed to get it into gear and drive the car but then you can not change gears.

I have a few more 6 speed gearboxes so may build up another and see how it goes but I think it's the linkage itself

Person #1 have to get under car while #2 sits in chair and selects different gears.
#1 needs to observe how selector moves.
Front-rear movement should be easy. At least selecting 3rd-4th gears. Tricky part is to adjust left-right movement to make R work and be able to select 5-6th with the same adjustment. BTDT.

Is the cluch-flywheel assembly the same that was used on S2?
