Forgot to mention, I am getting vacuum in the tank, which I suspect is the evaporative emissions control system?

Have you checked for fault codes? Boost leak test?
You can try unplugging the maf, see if its the same, and check the connections.Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

As i said got her on the road after 2 month finally, and this was my first blast, i will see if there are any fault codes tomorrow, and try unplugging the maf. If none of that tells me what's up, will do boost leak test. It should go upto 2.1 bar gauge?'93 Audi 100 Avant - R.I.P

Hooked her up to vagcom and there are no engine fault codes, I did get G86 (Headliner temp sensor). I also looked at measuring blocks, but I have no idea what those things mean, so here is a screenshot:

This is the vacuum I am getting, and this was after 5 mins if idling.
Cleaned and clayed her, looks quite good, need some polishing and she'll look decent enough.

To do list till MOT next week:
New fuel lines
Full service
New rocker cover gasket
Track end
To do list after MOT:
Diamond stitched alcantara door cards
Retrim headliner
Wire up speakers and amp, possible 8" sub in boot floor
...and before going to UNI new set of 235/40 tyres.
Isn't that bad is it?'93 Audi 100 Avant - R.I.P

Just went for a test drive, with MAP sensor pluged in or not, as soon as it gets to 1.5bar it starts to judder. 1st and 2nd gear revs upto 6k easily (I assume it doesn't boost to 1.5bar) third gear, at around 4000rpm it judders. As above, no fault codes coming up.
I will do boost leak check when I get a chance.'93 Audi 100 Avant - R.I.P

One missing and hesitation diagnostic
How do you unplug the MAP sensor? It is soldered to the ECU pcb. Do you mean the boost/vacuum line was disconnected? If so, the maximum boost you would get would be the wastegate spring pressure of about 0.4 bar relative (about 1.4 Bar absolute).
Juddering = missing or boost leak. I've posted about both here. Boost leak testing recently. Not sure if I've posted about missing and hesitation recently so here is the link:
