It's just getting worse. Noticed that PS fluid cooling pipe is corroded and leaking badly.

Thinking the same thing. My A100 was solid as a rock. Here rust is everywhere. Must be due to high humidity

In Latvia, we have salt too and rust isn't even close to that bad.

I think a lot of people will be very happy that I have found the problem, because I've been quite a big pain in the ****.

This is the tool we made up, first one we did yesterday didn't work, but this worked like a dream.

                      Also got new parts today

And this is the *astard that caused all these problems (mostly). It was completely sheared off.

If I would buy another 2.2 20v I would replace the pulley straight away, and suggest anyone who buys 2.2 20v to do it. I was so lucky it happened at low speed, rather than when travelling 30 mph or more.

Hunker - you are one lucky guy... but I have to admire your patience there. Well done making that tool for the job and great result. Glad you took the collective advice here - now can you name and shame the professional monkeys who supposedly changed the belt 10k miles ago ??? You had a very near escape there... Hopefully you are seeing full boost again - thats 2.1bar on your digital gauge on that AAN. Good stuff !

I am indeed. Belt has been done 10k ago, just didn't do a good job of it.

I hope to get it on the road Monday latest.

Is it ok to fit that cooling pipe from A8 V8? It is shaped differently, but should do they same job shoudn't it?
