I think the later European UrS6 avants had a handle that was factory modified because the European UrS6 sedans and avants had the same centre taillight section with no separate red "bar" for the avant handle. When we in North America buy the Euro UrS6 center taillight section, the handle on our NAmerican avants has to be trimmed, probably similar to what you had to do.
Check your PM.

Regardless of what you thought you bought, that is an UrS4 sedan center section. It's great though, and the way you modified your handle to make it work provides a very steath look, better than the factory.
But then again, this what the factory did with the Euro UrS6s - sedans and avants had the same center section.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

That's weird as it came from my URS6 as the previous owner needed a new one and all they could find was this one from Germany and it fit and operated on my car perfect but for the fact it was for URS4 ie straight lines as apposed to slanted on the URS6. This was how i bought it on my car. Now weirdly the URS6 one i sourced even before i owned my URS6 (was meant for the 2.8 30v) which is now on my URS6 has no cut out either and i took that of a rhd URS6 estate. It works perfectly needing no modification.

Just noticed the centre section is so shinny the quarter lights need replacing for new or tacken out and given the special treatment.96 URS6 plus speck saloon

That makes sense because the factory modified the hatch handles for the UrS6 avants so that cut-out and extra red plastic bits were not needed like they were on the UrS4 avants. Therefore it is very likely that an UrS4 sedan center section fit on an UrS6 avant without further modification (the factory had already done it). That's weird as it came from my URS6 as the previous owner needed a new one and all they could find was this one from Germany and it fit and operated on my car perfect but for the fact it was for URS4 ie straight lines as apposed to slanted on the URS6. I sold you that one for £150 which was good because of the Mint condition plus postage and i recently saw one fetch just over £200 plus postage on ebay so they seam to be going up in price. For some reason somethings telling me you can get a new one from Audi. Can anyone corroborate this.
What is normal price now for these Marko?96 URS6 plus speck saloon

100e is like £75 and for that price you only get cracked ones if your lucky to even find one advertised. The last price Audi did the cabriolet ones which look the same but probably smaller was £250 each last summer but again i think they are NLA since i enquired. Dave do you know if Audi have any stock of these URS4 and URS6 rear centre sections??96 URS6 plus speck saloon

Oh i see.So the rear quarters second hand are 100E each.Got you. As long as your rear quarter lights are not cracked you could give them the treatment with some choice polishes and elbow grease.Last edited by Vorsprung durch Technik; 15 February 2015, 23:34.96 URS6 plus speck saloon
