It's been a while and this thread has stalled when only a couple months after the last post i couldn't help myself and bought the S6 saloon which blew the S6 Avant right of course. Anyway roll forward to now and a friend of mine has been on about my interior for some time,i finally relented, It was hard to let go of electric black leather interior, despite my decision to go with the minty loaded Ecru dealer demonstrator interior which won't ever be reversed! http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76152

So, here's where we are following a few items gone with the rest of the plastics to follow.




So whilst tacking out the dash i noticed this dodgy looking connection, does anyone have an idea of what this could be for??!

Oh i forgot.......yesterday i managed to bag what seams like a decent set of these for a good price delivered.

It halve the km/mile reading..? Like in some taxi MB cars here...

Top man thanks for that. I take it that the tow hook was a dealer fit hence
the rather dodgy bullet connectors? And yes it has a tow hook.

It's definitely fitted after car left the factory. OEM fitment would be relay number 22 with 4 pins/wires instead of 3 and no wires coming from the top of it. This turn signal relay with "tow hook functionality" flashes <1> symbol in dashboard when trailer is plugged in (load on relay output exceeds 6x5w - 6 turn/hazard bulbs car itelf has) and turn/hazard lights activated.
