Some more sand blasting, some welding to make the body more stiff, then some more sand blasting...
We're hoping to spray the engine bay on Wednesday:
1)marine clean
2)metal prep
3) por 15 (3 layers)

We didn't paint the engine bay today. Maybe tomorrow.

One big chapter of the Mitsu' refurbish is complete... the engine bay has been painted with 3 layers of por 15 + primer...

About the perfection, we try our best. 100% or nothing when it comes to rust prevention!
Bogdan and I we are thinking of opening a paint shop, so we can do all the restoring processes in one place! Just have to see if we have the budget for the paint shop...

Paint booth installed,cleaned and painted.Needs neon lights cleaned and installed,new filters,airline filter+oil and water separator and we can work again on the evo.
Working with por 15 ruined our time.We got the por 15 on the car as fast you can paint all engine bay 2 layers.
Finished at 5-7 AM.Got a little sleep and sprayed standox primer at 13 o clock? They said that topcoat on por 15 can be applied on por 15 in max 24 hours.Also they say topcoat must be applied when por is still tacky.No way,it gets as glass instant.
Worked hard and sanded all primer with 600 grit sandpaper.Sprayed the degreaser and used the airline to dry some areas.DISASTER...Large pieces of primer falling and exposed the glass look of the por 15.Had 2 solutions:
1:sand all por 15 surface to get needed adhesion
2.blast all
Started to blast the primer and lightly the por 15 surface.In some areas all was gone to the metal.So sandblasted all to metal.
Sprayed all with ppg epoxy primer and sanded all with 240 grit.Now need to apply surface primer,sand it with 600 grit and paint all.
Seems epoxy is the way for big areas and por 15 to small parts as suspension etc where you can move fast enough to apply all keeping por 15 tacky enough and get best adhesion.Comment

The"problem"is another 4000 quattro got here from us.Maybe you knew about it,i was the last person that found about Emil getting one.It is here and i was fulled...
He will post a clip with me "spotting"(it was his car parked with a fake add in the window) that 4000 on the street calling the fake number on the sale add in the window and Bartolomeus laughing saying it is his car
