D2 A8 with 2.7t/01e swap questions

hi, I have a 2000 A8q with 40v and autotrans. im looking to swap this all out for a 2.7t APB motor and 6speed DQT 01E transmission.

a few questions.

will the engine mount arms from a euro d2 a8 with v6 APR,AQD,AMX bolt onto a 2.7t block?

APR,AQD,AMX are 30v correct? did these motors come in Quattro cars or just fwd? > longitudinal fwd? Quattro vs fwd, how different could the bellhousing positions be?

how much wider are d2 frame rails vs b5/c5?

any other tips/links/suggestions much appreciated, thanks

to do this ( big ) job, you need the hole donorcar.. the wiring, the ECU unit, the pedalbox the propshafts, the spring and dampher in front end... and may its q car you need to check out the rear ends ratioi( the may diff from autobox to manuell...)+++

Slightly unrelated but I saw an old D2-S8 at the weekend and they still look really tasty. In Europe they had 01E manual and a V6 non turbo engine was fitted too - so mechanically it shouldn't be impossible to get the 2.7T installed with 6-speed box as its the normal in-line setup for quattro AFAIK.

As stated already though - the 'fun' here will be all the coding & dependencies for the donor ECU with IMMO/Cluster & such so it runs... should be a good project !

hahaha im working on it, waiting for a few more answers, so its actually the start of a project thread vs a post of a million questions

ok, good news, I seem to have the immo worked out so everything plays nice together

and I got a lead on some rs6 intercoolers that should fit reasonably with all the new found room in the engine bay.

now I can get a thread started w/o nearly as many questions and confusion.
