Its taken him 12 years to get this far, I doubt money is his main motivation.

Never said money was his motivation,he's doing this out of love/nostalgia and respect for his cherished car. Badass you can keep,it looks like a little kids toy but each to their badass own, .. .. .. this one's a stunner!!!

If it's not Lhasa green or Helios blue LZ5T gets my vote.

          • I've just ordered 10 bags of 3m sprayable sealer, 30 mins after that goes on the base coats can go on the bottom.
The decision on colour has to be final at that point.

            Not nervous, honest

                • Fuel tank is finished

Hubs are done. I've put the outer CV's in so the car can go back on the floor and be pushed around with out wrecking the wheels bearings.

                          • Not wanting to put a spanner in the works, and I'm not sure what engine you have in mind to put into the car.

But please do consider fitting power steering to the Golf. Use the power steering pump from the engine you decide to fit.

The rack to fit that was used in the TSR power steering kit was a 1990 Datsun Bluebird steering rack.

A friend used a Toyota Corolla rack. You may or may not do it, but I is a really cool mod to do to the car. It is a more pronounced difference than a Mk 2 power steering and non power steering car.

The Bluebird rack is a faster rack then the oem one as well as being a power steering rack.

                            HTH.

If you need more info, just ask.
