        Do not try this !!
Didn't take the pulleys off and it was a nightmare to get it in.
With the engine in place the gearbox cannot move in past the steering rack arms.
Had to take off gearbox mounts and engine mounts.
Tilt the engine down and tilt up gearbox to meet it.
Once it was able to lign up it went together ok.

Went for Sachs Audi 200 clutch for the 7a flywheel. Renewed the 016 release bearing and lined it up with a depth gauge in the 3 places able around the flywheel.

Had trouble finding the J17 Relay. It is marked with 2 on my coupe. Bridged it and it fired the fuel pump.
Pulled the fuse box up and it's the yellow and green wire in the black connector at the front of the fuse box. So took a feed down to the URS6 wiring loom. The ECU can then control it via the URS6 fuel pump relay. Left the original relay out in the fusebox

it is easier when you make a removable front
what are your plans for ic? always difficult with type b2 cars.....

Hi Sean, looks like you are fairly getting on with the swap!
The downpipe from the S6 was a homemade jobby, out of scrap i had lying around so it's not OEM sizes/bends etc....

                Cheers, David.

                    Hiya.
I've used the URS6 ice with a bit of modification!
it's mounted on the right front behind the valence.
I'm hoping to pipe behind the bumper.
Will see how that goes !
Didn't want to cut the front though

Amazing job on the downpipe, hopefully going to another owner south.

Update tonight after 4 hours it finally fired ! couldn't get a spark so tried everything ... fuel pipes correctly fitted, coils and sensors all wired ok, timing ok, live at injectors, ECU pins getting correct voltages, grounds ok, changed over starter incase it wasn't turning over fast enough, changed battery ! removed crank sensor and checked that, checked timing pin was in flywheel !

Just about to give up and I thought I would put a permanent live to the ECU instead of from the ignition.
That was it !! it fired.
Turns out as a sparky being lazy I had picked up a live that I thought was switched from the ignition but it must have gone through something as it was not constant.
So will have to find a better one tomorrow 😉

you have 2 sort of power after contact (+15)
problaby you have chosen a +15 that fails when you are crancking
you need to look for a +15 that comes all the time on contact and crancking
