i think it all depends what you want with power goals
if you want a little bit more power i woud swap your engine for a 10vt from a urquattro or audi200,this will be the easiest way and the least work
the 20vt engine swap is more work but certainly doable and many forum members have already done this
you find also many info about this
a 20vt with a sport exhaust give also a good sound
    As above...

CQ with a 20vT doesn't sound too shabby....

Mind, the KV Can make a racket... Same car, earlier NA KV, if only it went as fast as it sounded...

Can't beat a bit of old school 10vT though.

This is why I loved the KV so much...

        But it had to go...

The car in front is a 90q 20v being driven sensibly on the Isle of Man... The KV, complete with high lift cam was 'oh so slow'...

                    Need to order
                    Clutch
Not sure what to do about downpipe.
All round springs and shocks required.
Abs has a fault on the cq.
Not sure what to do with abs and vac required for servo brakes.
Any input or part numbers appreciated.

you can delete the abs and can still use the vacuum booster,no problems with vacuum on a 20vt,just put a one way valve in the vacuum hose but normaly it is already like that
if you use stock power you can place a origional 3b-aby downpipe but if you want some bigger hp i woud go for a custom downpipe and exhaust, diameter depends on your power goal

Only just got back on here !
Ta for that, would like to keep the ABS but might not be an option.

Very sad week, Mark Pender has passed away.
He was helping me on this project and always had time for a question or random texts.
Never met him but his world was Quattros and always had time for people.

i have been looking at getting flywheel and clutch sorted.
Been around the block on forums !
                              I think I need a 7a flywheel.
I am leaving the original gearbox in for now 016 5 speed i think !
From what i can gather the 7a flywheel has the correct timing pin.
Not sure what clutch cover and plate.
                              Any recomendations.

Not sure on the 7A flywheel but a 200 20V flywheel and clutch work with the 016 box.
