Hey guys!
I am a young mechanical engineering student from Romania and proud owner of a 1996 UrS6 manual. As you can imagine there is a lot to do on it unfortunately, but it was dirt cheap at least. It was in a really bad shape when i got it, the car hesitated at high load, probably because of the 1.7bar (stock) over boost, one cylinder was not working, the fuel pump was a 3 bar from an Audi 100, it wasn't braking as it supposed to. But I can go on and on... My biggest problem is the budget, I cant get done much in a short period of time, but hey, it's a project, it's meant to last
I had some things done (undocumented unfortunately) such as replacing the fuel pump, replacing the battery (that's why a cylinder was not working) and now the wastegate and N75 is off the car to (supposedly) solve the over boost problem, the wastegate seemed to be in a good shape, probably the spring heat treated itself and got stiffer, thus letting less air to bypass the turbo, or could've just been the N75, which just broke in half while removing the conduct from the downward pipe of the N75. In two weeks I will know.
Anyways have a great day!
