Nick. UrS would be finished a long time ago if enough time.

Well, this won't be updated as much as the UrS4 thread, will just make the engine and MOT it and register it with the new engine. I have almost all engine parts ready. Missing only turbo, fuel rail, injectors, throttle body, IAT sensor, DP, and the software for my AAN ECU. Already bought PLX DM-6 Gen4 wideband gauge with LSU4.9, was a good deal for an hour.

I decide to make a own thread for this car, so the UrS4 project thread stays simpple. So I bought a b4 80 quattro which has been a 2.8 V6 orginally, it's just a rolling chassis without engine, but it has everything else. Previous owner, Mehtala, did first made a 1.8T swap, but later on did a AAN swap on it, so it has full AAN loom, just PnP. Sure 1.8T is cool, but 2.2T is just avesome, so I think he did just right there. Also big thanks to him, because the price was just really friendly.

Anyway he also did many other things to it, like deleted the hydraulics and put in a Opel/Vauxhall Corsa C electric steering column. Also brakes got updated, calipers are stock, rears are new though, but the servo and master cylinder are from an A8. Battery is re-located to the trunk. Here is the specs that was made on the car when I brought it home.

    - Full AAN engine loom with build in TFSI coil connectors
    - Front radiator
    - A8 brake servo and cylinder
    - Corsa C electric steering column with adjustable assistance
    - 4:11 ratio front and rear diff
    - Torsen mod (more force to the rear)
    - Aluminium front subframe bushings
    - 2,5" exhaust
    - 550x140x65mm FMIC
    - Battery in the trunk
    - Lowering springs
    +
    - AnLe poly engine mounts
    - AnLe poly transmission mounts

Also got a "RS4 style" tuning bumper from PKK member Teemu that he has had laying alround for a while. Don't sure about the look, but anyway the clear corners and fogs would be good.

The plan is to make a "getto" AAN engine with maybe HX35 Super size turbo and maybe 450-500hp. Not more as the 01A transmission may not tolerate much more. Anyway this will not go so far as the UrS4, I will keep this simpple and as an everyday user and nice winter toy. Not trying to build any RS2 sedan replica... naah...
Working...
