How many volts do the fuel pump get with the engine running? Could be running lean...

Judging by the plugs after a few hours use I'd guess it's not running lean:

Have made quite a bit of progress with this, contact cleaner has been an absolute saviour!
The window switch and the dodgy digital dash just needed the contacts cleaning and now are working perfectly. The radio just had to be plugged in at the battery. It is also running much better having cleaned the air temperature sensor on the IM.
A boost leak test is next on the list which might improve it further.
It's great to be able to take it for a drive and actually know the revs and speed I'm doing now!

It does go well, I'm just used to ~380 in the S2 which trounces almost anything.
Had a van come up behind me yesterday which I couldn't shake off...

Yeah, in stock form with the spring and mod they have a nice midrange push but nothing up the top end. Treser big valve head, more fuel and hybrid turbo helps [emoji6]
