    Anyone offer advice please ?

Lower turbo water line. What size is it ? My 17mm crowfoot doesn't go on it.

      Engine removed today

This was resting in the gearbox housing

No sign of the old wedge pin anywhere. The bolt looks like it has possibly come from the rear crank seal housing. Will confirm once the clutch and flywheel are off.

          No worries John.

Because they've been cut, I don't know which is feed and which is return. If you can take pictures where they join the braided lines and also where they go under the manifold, it would be much appreciated

That looks eerily like a shot of my transmission. Luckily you're bolt wasn't wedged between the bell housing and the pressure plate like mine was.

Thanks John. Just what I need as the rubber cover is fitted to the return.

I wonder when they changed from braided to rubber lines

As suspected, one of the rear crank seal bolts was missing - the other was only finger tight.

I used a couple of chopped down bolts for supporting the flywheel while swapping. it's a bit heavy to lift up and hold while fitting new bolts.

                  Replacement clutch and flywheel done.

Need to change the slave as it's damaged on the end. Will do that before refitting the engine

Good guess on the bolt, good to confirm where it came from though.

I think S4s had braided fuel lines, and S6s had rubber lines?

replaced the clutch slave cylinder today.

Old one came out in pieces and it was damaged on the end
