It's been a while since I updated this. Only done about 4000 miles since the last MOT. The tailgate had the usual corrosion around the wiper arm. Bodyshop removed the screen and performed a repair.

Repair looks good. What causes this to be a problem area on avants? Is it the leaking water from the washer jet rusting from the inside out?

That looks good Mike, does the bodyshop have someone "in house" that removed and refitted the screen or did they use a windscreen company do you know? Will have the same to do on my car at some point.Comment

can only think it's water ingress that causes it but it's very common. They used an outside company to remove the glass. There's no damage to any of the trims. You wouldn't know it had been disturbedMike

Hi, just been going through your log of work you have achieved to date. Well done with your efforts.
with the pictures of the radiator and fan motor before you dropped them in, what are the two pipe like connectors for on the back of the motor. I've wondered when I saw them on mine....
